Tecnológico de Monterrey was founded in 1943 by a group of visionary Mexicans led by Eugenio Garza Sada. Today, we are a university with 33 campuses across Mexico and a Virtual University which provides us with an international platform; we offer quality educational programs in Mexico, Latin America and elsewhere around the world.
We have recently revised our Vision and Mission for 2015 and defined the strategies we will use and the profiles of the members of our educational community.
Our vision is aimed at making Tecnológico de Monterrey the most respected educational institution in Latin America for the leadership of its alumni in the private, public and social sectors; the research and technological development it carries out to contribute to a knowledge-based economy; the generation and incubation of new business enterprises; collaboration in the improvement of public administration and policy; and the creation of models and innovative systems for the sustainable development of the community.
Our mission is to prepare people of integrity, ethical standards and a humanistic outlook who are internationally competitive in their field and, who, at the same time, are good citizens committed to the economic, political, social and cultural development of their communities and the sustainable use of natural resources.
As President of Tecnológico de Monterrey, I have the pleasure of welcoming you to this space. To those who are visiting us for the first time, I hope you will want to learn more about our institution, the programs and activities we offer, our educational model, and our campuses. To those who already belong to our community as students, professors, employees, parents and alumni, we hope this space will be a useful source of information for you.
